Let's say we talk about Galicia

Pongamos que hablamos de Galicia

We want to take advantage of this blog to tell you, and for you to tell us, experiences, trips, anecdotes, places and corners that have had some special meaning, or that have simply given you good feelings. Today we want to talk to you about Galicia.

This land has been and continues to be a constant source of inspiration for westsouls. Those of us who began this journey more than a year ago feel part of this wonderful land and its people. Its seas, estuaries, mountains; its evocative landscapes, its corners that surprise locals and strangers, never cease to amaze us year after year. To those who have never visited Galicia and are doing so for the first time, believe us, you will never be disappointed.

Within those magical corners, today we want to talk about the Cíes Islands. Natural park made up of three islands, located at the mouth of the Vigo estuary. Baptized as islands of the gods by the Romans, legend has it that Julius Caesar had to reach them in his persecution of the Herminian peoples of Portugal. Its white sand beaches are considered one of the most beautiful in the world. You can make routes through almost virgin landscapes and wild nature that you can find in few places in Spain. For the more adventurous, you can stay in a campsite and wake up every morning in the middle of nature.

And if what you are looking for is a new sporting challenge, this Galician paradise hosts the Cíes Islands Challenge every year, with events such as the medium-distance triathlon, or the 10 km swim from Rodas beach, in the Cíes Islands, to Vao beach, in Vigo, only suitable for the most prepared athletes.

Galicia has thousands of corners to get lost; We wanted to present you one that we really fall in love with; what is yours?
